Progression-Free Survival Better for ZD6474 Than Iressa in NSCLC

A clinical trial testing the novel investigational agent ZD6474 (Zactima™, AstraZeneca) as a monotherapy in recurrent non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) revealed strong progression-free survival (PFS) improvements versus gefitinib (Iressa, AstraZeneca), but no survival advantage, according to an American Society of Clinical Oncology 2006 Annual Meeting presentation.
