No Osteoporosis After Anastrozole for Women with Normal Baseline BMD

Those women with breast cancer at particular risk for bone loss and subsequent fractures as a consequence of treatment with an aromatase inhibitor can be identified, monitored and managed accordingly. Findings from the ATAC (Arimidex, Tamoxifen, Alone or in Combination) trial presented at the American Society of Oncology 2006 Annual Meeting, suggest also that some women may skip currently recommended yearly bone scans.
