Thalidomide Improves Survival in Elderly Multiple Myeloma Patients

A multi-institutional research team in France has show that giving elderly multiple myeloma patients the drug thalidomide in addition to two standard drugs improved survival compared with either the standard therapy alone or a stem cell transplant.
