Based on multigene expression in breast tumors, a recurrence score assay has been developed that can quantify the likelihood of distance recurrence in women with estrogen receptor-positive, lymphnode-negative breast cancer treated with tamoxifen and determine the benefit of chemotherapy in the subgroups.
