Adding Oxaliplatin to Fixed-Dose Gemcitabine: No Survival Benefit in Pancreatic Cancer

Neither fixed-dose rate infusion of gemcitabine, nor addition of oxaliplatin to standard gemcitabine treatment significantly improves survival in patients with pancreatic adenocarcinoma, according to Elizabeth Poplin, speaking at the American Society of Clinical Oncology 2006 Annual Meeting.
