Mammographic Screening Among Breast Cancer Survivors

A recent study indicates that most breast cancer survivors do not receive regular recommended mammographic screening after therapy. During a five-year follow-up, only one in three survivors received a regular mammogram. Mammographic screening among survivors can detect recurrence as well as new tumors in the other breast at an early stage, leading to curative treatment.
