CW April 2006Issue Number 4 April 2006 ISSN 10593802 Mammographic Screening Among Breast Cancer SurvivorsA recent study indicates that most breast cancer survivors do not receive regular recommended mammographic screening after therapy. During a five-year follow-up, only one in three survivors received a regular mammogram. Mammographic screening among survivors can detect recurrence as well as new tumors in the other breast at an early stage, leading to curative treatment.
