CW February 2006Issue Number 2 February 2006 ISSN 10593802 CFAR Regimen Active in CLLA regimen combining cyclophosphamide, fludarabine, rituximab, and alemtuzumab (CFAR) is active and evokes responses in heavily pretreated chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) patients, including those with unfavorable cytogenetics, according to a presentation at the 47th Annual Meeting and Exposition of the American Society of Hematology. Rituximab and alemtuzumab are monoclonal antibodies against CD20 and CD52, respectively, antigens co-expressed by CLL lymphocytes.
