Future Direction Is Individualized Targeted Therapies

There are more than 1,500 cancer deaths each year in the United States. While there has been some decrease in mortality recently, there is a need to develop better therapies. Researchers will continue to use traditional therapies in addition to new targeted therapies. The end result will be individualized therapy coming in the next decade, predicts one expert.
