Radiopharmaceuticals for Bone Cancer

Radiopharmaceuticals are agents that carry radionuclide that are targeted to certain cancer cells. For targeting bone cancer cells, samarium-153 is carried via a bone-seeking chemical (EDTMP). A recent study suggests that the inclusion of a radiosensitizer may improve the efficacy of the radionuclide.
