Intervention Program did not Increase Colorectal Cancer Screening

Colorectal cancer is the third most common cancer death in the US. This cancer can be prevented or cured with early intervention. This requires regular screening. But rates for regular screening are found to be low. Therefore, a program was developed for use in the managed care health plan to increase colorectal cancer screening, which found that less than 30% of eligible patients received any screening for colorectal cancer during the two-year study period.
