Combretastatin A4 Phosphate Targets Tumor Blood Vessels

Combretastatin A4 phosphate (CA4P), a vascular targeting agent, selectively targets newly formed tumor blood vessels and slows down blood supply to the tumors by changing the shape of the endothelial cells. This agent also destroys the endothelial cells by disrupting key signaling pathway needed for the proliferation of endothelial cells and formation of blood vessels.
