CW October 2005Issue Number 10 October 2005 ISSN 10593802 Anti-Angiogenic Therapy for NeuroblastomaInterferon, a naturally occurring peptide, has an antiangiogenic function. In an animal model, when a virus vector carrying the interferon gene was administered continuously in mice with established neuroblastoma, the tumor growth and spread was arrested. This gene therapy strategy could be used as an adjuvant therapy in pediatric neuroblastoma.
