Polls Find Many People Believe Cancer Myths

A survey conducted by American Cancer Society suggests that even though cancer treatment and management of cancer-related complications have improved significantly over the last few decades, the American public is not very well informed about the disease and how it is managed. The misconceptions the public has about cancer may increase the risk for cancer morbidity and mortality, scientists believe.
