New Way to Assess Risk of Breast Cancer Recurrence

Whether breast cancer is spread to the lymph nodes is usually determined by detecting the actual cancer cells in the nodes. A new study indicates that by observing the profile of immune cells in the node, one could predict whether the nodes will be invaded or not, even in the absence of tumor cells in the node.
