Multi-targeted Therapy Slows Disease Progression in Metastatic Renal Cell Cancer

A novel targeted therapy can slow disease progression in advanced kidney cancer that no longer responds to standard therapies. The experimental drug AG-013736 led to substantial tumor shrinkage in metastatic renal cell carcinoma (RCC) unresponsive to cytokine therapy.
