Drugs Stimulate Tumor-Suppressor Genes

The tumor suppressor gene expression of that protects cell from becoming cancerous can be turned off if the expression is prevented by hypermethylation of the promoter site. DNA hypomethylating agents fight cancer by reversing this process.
