Toremifene Reduces Risk of Prostate Cancer

Toremifene (Acapodene®, GTx), an oral selective estrogen receptor modulator (SERM), significantly reduces the risk of prostate cancer development in a high-risk population of men, those with prostatic intraepithelial neoplasia (PIN), according to results from a presentation at the 41st Annual Meeting of the American Society of Clinical Oncology, held in Orlando, FL, May 14 to May 17, 2005.
