Impact of Gemcitabine-Based Chemotherapy and Surgery on QoL in Early-Stage NSCLC

For the majority of patients with Stage I and II non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) treatment with a gemcitabine (Gemzar®, Lilly)-containing chemo-therapeutic regimen, quality of life is preserved or improved when evaluated at six months postoperatively, according to investigators speaking at the 41st Annual Meeting of the American Society of Clinical Oncology, held in Orlando, Florida from May 14 to May 17, 2005.
