Consolidation with Taxotere (Docetaxel) Improves Long-Term Survival in Stage IIIb NSCLC

Long-term survival in treatment of stage IIIb non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) with consolidation docetaxel following concurrent chemoradiotherapy is better than reported for any previously published clinical trials, according to Professor David R Gandara, University of California Davis Cancer Center, Sacramento, CA, and Gandara is also chairman of the Southwest Oncology Group (SWOG) Lung Committee.
