Tyrosine Kinase Inhibitor Cocktails May Target Resistance to Gleevec

A cocktail of Bcr-Abl kinase inhibitors may be the best way to target the widest range of drug resistance to treatment with imatinib (Gleevec). Another experimental drug, BMS-354825, which also inhibits another tyrosine kinase, Src, shows early promise for the treatment of chronic myeloid leukemia (CML), and possibly solid tumors.
