Brachytherapy versus Radical Prostatectomy

Low-risk brachytherapy is as effective as prostatectomy for organ-confined prostate cancer, suggests a new study. Brachytherapy is a minimally invasive procedure that can be given in outpatient clinics, and its recovery period is less than that experienced in open surgery.
