Another Drug Succumbs to Cancer Mutation

Certain cancer cells treated with drugs to inhibit proliferation respond well; however, they eventually develop a resistance to the drug. One mechanism is development of a new mutation at a key site where the drug binds to stop induction of growth. Now the drug cannot interact at that site.
