New Strategy to Regulate Angiogenesis in Tumors

A growth factor secreted by tumors that signal production of new blood vessels could be blocked by generating a large amount of its receptor protein. Monocyte, an immune system cell, produces this soluble receptor protein when stimulated by a specific growth factor.
