Computer-Based Decision Model for Colorectal Cancer Resectability

When a primary colorectal tumor is diagnosed, 15-25% of patients already have liver metastases, and another 35-45% will develop liver metastases during their disease course. Mainly because of the extensive tumor burden, about 80-90% of tumors are unresectable. However, recent advances in neoadjuvant therapy allow for significant tumor shrinkage, allowing secondary surgery in some patients.
