Support Groups Aid Women with Breast Cancer Gene Mutations

Women with a BRCA1and BRCA2 mutation experience significant challenges. A current study that developed a standardized group therapy intervention model reports that such therapy helps women to cope with anxiety and depression associated with the diagnosis and also helps them decide whether or not to undergo prophylactic surgery.
