CW September 2004Issue Number 9 September 2004 ISSN 10593802 Report to the Nations on Prostate CancerOn the 22nd of September, the Prostate Cancer Foundation (PCF) issued a Report to the Nation on Prostate Cancer that addressed the urgent need to improve the management of prostate cancer and accelerate the development of better treatments and a cure. This year, 230,000 men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer in the United States, and 30,000 are expected to die from the disease. Today, about two million men are battling prostate cancer, and over the next decade, about three million more will be compelled to join the war.
