Genome-Wide Search for Prostate Cancer Susceptibility Gene

Researchers believe that there are several ?susceptibility? genes that are associated with inherited forms of prostate cancer, which constitute 5-10% of all prostate cancer cases. The remaining sporadic cases are thought to be triggered by environmental factors. Researchers are in pursuit of identifying prostate cancer susceptibility genes and are closing in on them.
