Volume 13Issue Number 7 July 2004 ISSN 10593802 Some GIST Patients Whose Progress Was Helped by Higher Imatinib DoseWhen patients with GIST progress on a 400 mg dose of imatinib, some may gain benefit from a higher dose (800 mg). In addition, those patients starting initially on the lower dose are more likely to tolerate the higher dose, according to a 40th Annual Meeting of the American Society of Clinical Oncology presentation.
