Arsenic trioxide (TrisenoxR, cti), a novel anticancer agent approved for the treatment of relapsed or refractory acute promyelocytic leukemia, is very active and generally well tolerated in patients with both higher- and lower-risk myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS), according to investigators speaking at the 40th Annual Meeting of the American Society of Clinical Oncology.
