Chemotherapy-Induced Nausea and Vomiting Underestimated by Physicians

Chemotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting not only have a negative impact on the quality of life of cancer patients, these symptoms could actually be severe enough for patients to discontinue life-saving treatment. Though there are effective antiemetic agents, most physicians underestimate the incidence of delayed effect. Therefore, a significant number of patients do not get the required antiemetic treatment.
