Intraoperative Radiotherapy for Breast Cancer

Intraoperative radiotherapy that delivers one-time targeted radiation to the region next to the primary tumor can be used just after breast-conserving surgery in the operating theater. When the parameters for these new techniques are standardized, intraoperative radiotherapy could be the only radiotherapy necessary for the patients with a low risk of local recurrence.
