Technology Update: Noninvasive Diagnosis of Brain Tumors

Proton magnetic resonance spectra, pmr, that give information of specific metabolites in tissue can be used to generate image of a tumor to reveal the heterogeneity of cancer cells. This is a noninvasive procedure used to diagnose, and to grade tumor types. It could be used in improving the accuracy of diagnosis and monitoring the progression of the disease.
