Epoietin Alfa Benefits Anemic Lung Cancer Patients Receiving Chemotherapy

The administration of epoietin alfa, a recombinant erythropoietic growth factor, increases hemoglobin levels, reduces transfusion requirements, and improves quality of life when used as an adjunct to chemotherapy in anemic lung cancer patients, recent research has shown.
