CW September 2000Issue Number 9 September 2000 ISSN 10593802 Noninvasive Localization of TumorsAntibody specific for tumor antigen when tagged with a fluorescent dye can be used to locate tumor by noninvasive imaging technique. A small humanized antibody that penetrates the tumor cells easily is being developed. This antibody, conjugated with a far-red cyanine fluorochrome dye, binds to several types of tumor and produces a better image when viewed by noninvasive imaging techniques.
