Hypermethylation of Cell Cycle Checkpoint Protein Gene in Breast Cancer

The expression of a gene involved in cell cycle checkpoint control is significantly reduced in some breast cancer cells. This loss of gene expression is found to be due to hypermethylation of a critical CpG-rich region.
