Cytokines in Advanced Melanoma

For almost a decade, various cytokine-based regimens, in various combinations with chemotherapy have been tried in melanoma. Since cytokines are generally regarded as a ?deus ex machina? or cure-all, this is no surprise; however, advanced melanoma is and remains a malignancy which shows a remarkable lack of responsiveness. A number of randomized trials have been recently evaluated.
