The combination of oblimersen sodium (Genasense®, Genta/Aventis), thalidomide (Thalomid®, Celgene), and dexamethasone in patients with relapsed multiple myeloma is well tolerated, and oblimersen?s ability to enhance the activity of many chemotherapeutic agents results in this combination being associated with encouraging prolonged results, according to results presented at the 45th Annual Meeting of the American Society of Hematology.
