Alemtuzumab Improves Remission Quality in CLL

In patients with chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) who are in remission after chemotherapy, alemtuzumab (Campath-1H) improves the quality of remissions, achieving molecular remissions in some cases, according to clinical trial results presented at the 2003 Annual Meeting of the American Society of Hematology. Alemtuzumab is a humanized monoclonal antibody.
