Letrozole Reduces Breast Cancer Recurrence After Tamoxifen

A trial of the aromatase inhibitor letrozole (Femara, Novartis) given to women with early breast cancer who have completed 5 years of tamoxifen therapy showed letrozole to be effective in reducing breast cancer. Letrozole also had a favorable safety profile.
