CW July 2003Issue Number 7 July 2003 ISSN 10593802 Stem Cell Implantation for High-risk Breast CancerHigh-dose adjuvant chemotherapy in combination with stem cell transplantation does not improve the final outcome of advanced breast cancer patients with lymph node metastases. This aggressive approach, however, is found to reduce the number of relapse compared to those observed in patients receiving conventional chemotherapy-alone treatment after surgery.
