CW July 2003Issue Number 7 July 2003 ISSN 10593802 Sonography may be More Accurate in Detecting Breast Cancer in Young WomenA new study indicates that sonography is a better test than mammography for breast cancer diagnosis in women 45 years of age or younger who are experiencing breast cancer symptoms. However, sonography is not for breast cancer screening. Mammography is the only proven screening test for breast cancer.
