CW April 2003Issue Number 4 April 2003 ISSN 10593802 Patients Most Likely to Benefit From Erythropoietic Therapy Often UntreatedWhile at least 40% of chemotherapy patients with hemoglobin at levels below those recommended in guidelines for treatment with erythropoietic agents (10 g/dl) are not treated, recent quality of life data suggest that patients with hemoglobin in the range of 10-12 g/dL benefit most from such therapy.
