Patients Most Likely to Benefit From Erythropoietic Therapy Often Untreated

While at least 40% of chemotherapy patients with hemoglobin at levels below those recommended in guidelines for treatment with erythropoietic agents (10 g/dl) are not treated, recent quality of life data suggest that patients with hemoglobin in the range of 10-12 g/dL benefit most from such therapy.
