CW February 2003Issue Number 2 February 2003 ISSN 10593802 Boosting Antitumor Activity of T-CellsT-cells engineered to home in on cancer cells can be activated by allogenic stimulator cells to proliferate in vitro, and retain their ability to proliferate efficiently in vivo if presented with the same allogenic stimulator. Generating T-cells that can effectively proliferate and identify tumor cells may help to overcome the problem of poor immunogenicity inherent to tumor antigens.
