Peptide Vaccine Builds Immunity to Leukemia Cells

Several decades after vaccines for cancer were first proposed, a targeted therapy is now being tested on leukemia patients. The first vaccine targeted to acute myelogenous leukemia (AML) can elicit highly active tissue-specific immunity against leukemia cells and induce remission, according to a small pilot study.
