Low Molecular Weight Heparins Prevent Thrombosis in Cancer Patients

Life threatening blood clot formation is prevented and treated by drugs such as heparin and warfarin. Low molecular weight heparins have been synthesized and are found to be more effective in reducing the long-term risk of blood clots in cancer patients when compared with the standard treatment with warfarin.
