Adjuvant Dose-Dense Chemotherapy Improves Disease-Free Survival Rates in Breast Cancer Patients

New data from a large phase III study of women with node-positive breast cancer that was presented at the 25th Annual San Antonio Breast Cancer Symposium (December 10-14, 2002), suggest that a dose-dense regimen of standard chemotherapeutic agents is highly effective in reducing the risk of recurrence and improving disease-free survival as well as overall survival rate.
