CW October 2002Issue Number 10 October 2002 ISSN 10593802 Serum Protein Patterns Detect Prostate CancerUnlike individual biomarkers, serum protein patterns, analyzed and modeled by highly sensitive technologies, can be used effectively to distinguish between benign prostate conditions and cancer. By ruling out prostate cancer, this method will allow a subset of men with marginally high levels of Prostate Specific Antigen to avoid unnecessary biopsies.
