Serum Protein Patterns Detect Prostate Cancer

Unlike individual biomarkers, serum protein patterns, analyzed and modeled by highly sensitive technologies, can be used effectively to distinguish between benign prostate conditions and cancer. By ruling out prostate cancer, this method will allow a subset of men with marginally high levels of Prostate Specific Antigen to avoid unnecessary biopsies.
