Anti-Androgen Therapy for Prostate Cancer: Reduced Disease Progression, Preserved BMD

In localized or locally advanced prostate cancer, bicalutamide reduces disease progression as compared with placebo. Also, compared with an LHRH analog agonist, it maintains testosterone levels and lean muscle mass.
