Implantable Drug Delivery System for Pain Relief

Opiates delivered through an implantable drug delivery system provides better relief for moderate to severe cancer pain with small doses and fewer side effects compared to conventional therapy alone, resulting in a significant improvement in the quality of life (QOL) of cancer patients and their caregivers, according to findings reported at the Annual Meeting of ASCO.
