CW June 2002Issue Number 6 June 2002 ISSN 10593802 Tamoxifen Backed by Blue Ribbon PanelDoctors should continue to use tamoxifen for women with early stage breast cancer even though aromatase inhibitors (AIs) show promise in preventing tumor recurrence, according to a blue ribbon panel of experts from the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO). But there has not been a significant survival advantage demonstrated with the AI over tamoxifen, according to the panel?s report.
